Are you in the mood for a little somethin’ sweet?? You should totally check out this 5 minute microwave chocolate cake in a mug….or should I say cake in a cup. I saw it over at we heart this and had to make it for Mr. BH. It’s so easy!
I will have to say, I didn’t have a big mug handy so I started mixing everything together in a coffee cup and realized it would be to small for the cooking process. So I split the batter into these two smaller coffee cups instead of one large mug. It got a little tricky, with the microwave time. I cooked both of them at the same time and had to pull them out before 3 minutes. I’d say if you are doing it in two smaller cups, the cook time will be closer to 2 minutes or less on half power if you don’t want them to turn into rubber. Next …put a little plate over the top and let it sit for 2 minutes. If you are after more fun and easy mug recipes… you should check out this book by Stacey Miller 🙂 She has a free recipe on her site here. And here is her book link:101 Recipes for Microwave Mug Cakes: Single-Serving Snacks in Less Than 10 Minutes

I’m a fan of microwave mug cakes and gluten-free microwave mug cakes. In fact, I’m also the author of “101 Recipes for Microwave Mug Cakes” and “101 Recipes for Gluten-Free Microwave Mug Cakes.” You can find free sample recipes at http://www.microwavemugcakes.com. Both books are available there as well (and, of course, at the usual online bookstores).
