Lowe’s Creative Ideas: cute drapes made with a diy felt pad stamp!

Have you seen the free magazine Lowe’s offers in their store that shares creative ideas?

I noticed some cute drapes they made with this DIY stamp. It’s made from adhesive felt pads;

the ones you stick on the bottom of your chairs!!

You can check out the finished drapes on their website and look over the

other projects. They even have YouTube videos. Here’s one with all the diy stamp details!!

I decided to share some video action for the younger ladies and the young at heart. If fast energy talking bothers you you might not enjoy the second one, but if you have time give her a chance she’s very sweet. I shared before about haul video’s and how they are a bit addictive. Love Kristan Cunningham and her decorating style! Her videos are full of fun decorating tips. In these video’s she shares advice on how to design a room that grows with your child. That way, in the long run, you aren’t spending money on a complete room re-do every few years! She also shares a really fun wall decoupage project that will work for any room of the home. I’m thinking if I decoupage my stinky vintage maps on the wall, it might seal out the musty smell …hmmm It’s hard because I like the matte finish of the maps…. I’ll work out my musty map issues later ….Enjoy!

Hi,

Today I made cupcakes with a friend and we used my favorite buttercream recipe. Since this blog is all about sharing my favorites and saving you money, I had to include this video. I hope you love it as much as I do…it is so fun and easy and the best frosting for cupcakes!! Here is a picture of the cupcakes I made. I filled the papercups a bit full, so they overflowed just a tad))

I’m including the best butter cream recipe at the end of the post and the awesome DIY youtube video from www.jennysteffens.blogspot.com …she’s my inspiration!!

Recipe:

4 sticks of softened butter

4 cups powdered sugar

inside from 1/2 of a vanilla bean (leave out if you want pure white)

beat icing for 5-7 minutes

1 large disposable pastry bag for decorating.

Gel based food coloring (I love her tips on colored frosting)
