Glamorized Water

May 18, 2010

I’m trying to cut out the sweets 🙂 Bummer… So…. this week I’m sharing a dietish kind of drink I made, it was inspired by Southern Living called glamorized water.

I have to admit this isn’t packed with a lot of flavor, but it’s so pretty!!! Try it for your next party, your friends will love it!!

It is so easy, you just need the following ingredients:

1 cucumber, 1 orange, 1 lemon, 1 lime, 1 kiwi, and some raspberries or strawberries.

Optional: sliced ginger and parsley sprigs for a garnish.

Slice all your items,  except the raspberries :).  I use a Mandelin, it makes nice uniform slices.

Put the ingredients in a pitcher, cover and chill about 1 hour. Serve over ice. Garnish, if desired.

PS: I slice extra fruit to add to the individual glasses when serving. I also add a bit of squeezed lemon and lime to the chilled water for a little extra zip.

I’m linking to Tasty Tuesday

Once we are all out of school in the summer, I keep a pitcher of water with citrus slices in the refrigerator all the time. My kids actually prefer this to premade drinks.
