Here are a few different ideas on how to wrap and personalize the clock face ornament that I’ve been talking about these past few weeks…:) Originally when I was thinking about this concept, my mind went back to the wedding inspiration board I did via style me pretty. The theme for the wedding board was centered around vintage clocks. I picked 2011 in the wording because I figured if someone liked this idea for their wedding, they probably won’t be using it until 2011. Most weddings are planned about a year in advance 🙂
Here it is….

The ornament can be packaged either way…with the hands tied to the outside of the package, like I showed in the first photo, or placed on the twine. Another idea: the clock can also be hand personalized with a date and a thank you from the couple. If you want to give it as a Christmas gift you could do the same process, but with different wording.

Here are the things used and needed:
Purchase the sleeves at any office supply and buy twine at any craft/hardware store. (I divide my twine strand so it lasts longer and isn’t as thick looking.
Print off the lettering on heavy card stock.. I used the Font Bodoni MT Condensed– size 22. You’ll have to play around with the spacing. Here is the example of what I printed. I made the background black and the letter white so it would show up really well…. I notched out a few areas so it would look more like an arrow/ hand of a clock. I also notched out the center so it would be easier to tie on. This is the example used if the hands are tied to the outside of the package.
Above is a simple example used, if the hand is hole punched and thread onto the twine…. like below.
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial. You are welcome to share any ideas from my blog, all I ask is that you mention Bargain Hoot and link back to me. Thank you so much 🙂
