Our new banded drapes at a unbelievable price!

March 28, 2011

I noticed these banded drapes online at Walmart and was shocked at the price…. $12.88 a panel.

I quickly ordered a pair and

put them up in our living room..

These are so versatile and easy to just switch out from our Greek Key drapes for a little lighter spring look…They are neutral and so inexpensive. I’ve talked about this before, but because the base of the furniture pieces are neutral it’s easy to switch the  drapes and pillows seasonally or just because I’m bored.. They are kinda like jewelry for an outfit 🙂

Little quick changes like that can make a big impact. Lotta show for not much dough 🙂 Found a scrape piece of fabric at Hancock and made a little blue and brown cover for the smaller pillow on the left.

I need to learn how to take really good pictures like a lot of the other bloggers. Perhaps check out those photo tips from Kevin and Layla 🙂 cuz’ trust me these look way better in person!

The same type of drape would normally cost a ton more.

These were $12.88 a panel….seriously….$12.88. I ordered the color in espresso brown.

They also come in a tanish color and more. Don’t you think they are fantastic for the price!  Am I crazy about this deal or what!! 🙂

They come in 3 different sizes…  55x 63, 55×84, and EVEN  55×95

They are kind of sheer so they aren’t well suited for privacy, but if you are like me and are more interested in accenting the sides of a window they are perfect.

The name is Belle Maison Soho Grommet window panel.  I also found a site that sells the same drapes in other colors. Check out my post here for more info.

Hi Jennifer, I bought it from a friend and it’s from Arhaus furniture. Couple other places you can also find something similar is IKEA, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel. If you are near Cleveland you can check out the Arhaus Outlet for great deals. I hope that helps 🙂

Hey! I followed your post from walmart.com. I saw these panels and I still haven’t decided whether to order them or not, I love the sheer, but the brown has me thinking… I’m not a brown cookie, and there’s absolutely nothing brown in my living room, I don’t know if I can work these in. Do you think I could work the Truffle color into my beige and blue living room?

You should also check out target.com for some discounted drapes, I just ordered four 95″ lined panels for under $30.00! They are the tafetta stripe, blue and brown, nice. Love your posts!

Nelly, Thanks for the Target drape tip!!! I shared another post about banded drapes that I found with additional colors. The neutrals seem like they would work with your room, but I can’t say without actually looking at a pic. Walmart also has the big buffalo check that is really nice. I have them in my family room.

Hi, I was looking at the drapes at Walmart. I read your review and came to your site. The drapes look wonderful hanging on the french doors. Perfect! I have a 96″ picture window in my living room and was thinking of getting 2 of these , 95″ long w/white room darkening shades and hang them fairly high. Too much white? Let me know what you think if you have time. Also, I just love the giveaway “In My Father’s House”. Lucky Martha!

    Thanks

    Hi Shari!
Thanks for visiting my review…. I moved mine to our bedroom with some faux white wooden blinds over the window and it looks nice. …doesn’t feel like too much white, but I like white 🙂 I like the idea of hanging them high with a dark rod. The drapes are pretty and the price is an added bonus!!! Hope you enjoy them…stop back… I love hearing about what other people are doing.
Thanks for your comment and so glad you like the giveaway. One of our contributors painted that adorable sign 🙂

I love these panels, however, could you possibly tell me the size of the grommets. I need the openings large enough to accommodate a 1-3/8″ rod.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Niki,
The diameter of the opening is (1-1/2 inches). One and one half inches.
    Hope that helps 🙂
