I’m into fruit these days! I love the look of real fruit on a platter or a bowl as a
decorative accent, but I’m also liking the kind that doesn’t mold. I had a conversation
with my brother a few weeks ago about vintage fruit. Remember the wooden monkey pod fruit
I’m into and have sitting on my coffee table? Well, after our convo, he was at a flea market
and got inspired to snag some cool looking vintage modern grapes for me…
I love these…I’ve never seen anything like them…. they are attached to root wood which
adds to their coolness!
Little did he know that they are the perfect accent to the color direction we’re heading for our kitchen and
family room!
I thought I’d share a little sneak peek with the pillow accent, just in case you are interested
I’ve had these wonderful fish paintings for over a year….they tie in nicely! I misplaced them in a file
and got worried I’d never find them….thank goodness that didn’t happen!

Hi there. I’m you newest follower. I found your blog from Bonnie over at Smile Monsters, so I thought I’d pop over and say hi!
Oh those bring back sweet memories…My grandmother had those sitting on her breakfast table and I always loved to play with them- I will have to check and see if she still has them somewhere!
These are from the 60’s…….everyone had them. I was so relieved when my Mom finally put them away…..it’s so funny to see someone excited about them again. I really like your shell pillow and the fish prints. Nice colors.
Hi, I just found you through Nester’s Window Mistreatments. I love your tablecloth-turned-curtain! I have that same tablecloth for my patio table, only in aqua.
That faux-fruit really takes me back, lol! My grandmother had a bowl of the wooden fruit and my great-grandmother had the squishy kind. I used to love to pull the grapes off the stem and put them back on! haha
Oona…my mom had the squishy kind too. I use to pull them off and on too
That is funny!!
Dee thank you for telling me they are from the 60’s…I new they were old, but I wasn’t sure how old.
Laura… what color were your Grandmothers?
Laina, I’m glad you came over to say hi!! I’ll be over to visit you too
