Isn’t it fun to find fabrics from unexpected places?
An ebay tablecloth came in handy for some new floral pillows and an easy cornice
in our kitchen. (I’ll show you guys the cornice next week :))
The pillow is just the easy envelope style that doesn’t require skill or zipper installation.
Here is the link for video tutorial that shows you exactly
how easy it is to make this style pillow cover.
Here is theEbay link…. the tablecloth is on sale with free shipping.
So if you like this you should snag it.
I thought it was a cute fabric that
has the browns, grays and greens.
If you want to introduce a new color onto the fabric…you could just paint the centers
of some of the flowers like I did in the photo below….
Is it scary…kind of. Thankfully, I had a scrap piece of fab to test it out on first.
Is that fabric paint…. ummm…no. will it wash in the washing machine….ummm
not sure… I really never have to wash my pillow covers,
because they don’t seem to get dirty.
A lot of times I just do things fast.. without even thinking about it.
Like grabbing a q-tip to paint with.. instead of getting a small brush out…
🙂 easy clean up 🙂
I actually liked the way it turned out…. so I’m off to paint the rest of the
flower centers and grab more Q-tips…
not in that order 🙂
hope you’re having a good week-end!!

Rene, you are so creative! I love the blue painted flower centers. I also love how you just used a Qtip and painted then on a whim!!

If you used acrylic paint, it should stay on the fabric even after washing. Those little acrylic paints at the crafts stores are great! Love what you’ve done!
