Make your own blog button. Day one of Good Ideas!
I’m joining a link party that the “Nester” is sponsoring. It’s for the whole month of October
and if you join in you commit to blog about something for 31 days.
For me to do anything
for 31 days straight is next to impossible, but I am going to try my best.
My 31 days is all about “Good Ideas”
I hope you’ll join me and follow along.
The goal is to try and share things that make you want to say
“That’s a good idea” 🙂 HeHe Watch…the first idea will probably flop 🙂
That’s alright, if you don’t like this one, I’ve got 30 more chances.
My first “Good Idea” is about encouraging bloggers to make their own blog button
and where to do it.
If you don’t know about www.picnik.com I suggest you try it out.
I needed a button for this party
and because I waited until the last minute…. I didn’t have time for a designer to
make one for me. That meant I needed to make one myself. Yikes at midnight!
Who would have ever thought that my time management issues would save me money.
Anyway, since I don’t know how to use Photoshop or Illustrator (yet)
I needed a program that was super easy to understand. Especially for someone
like me who knows nothing
about designing on a computer. I wish I knew.
I Googled how to make a button and a post led me to Picnik.
I’m so glad it did. The directions were so easy to understand.
If you want to do some photo editing, make a button, or write a
caption on a photo… Picnik is the place for you!!
Seriously, it was so easy peasy. I
made the button above in about 10 minutes.
The thing that took the longest was figuring out the font.
I might try and make a business/blog card next.
Part of me thinks I would love to make buttons all day long.
The other part of me thinks I would get tired of it in a hurry.
I’m kind of fickle like that.
P.S. I did pay $4.75 for a month long upgrade option on Picnik.
I figured it would be worth it since I actually have several things I want to design
and the upgrade gives me me a few more design options.
Do you use Picnik? What do you enjoy most about it?

Love picnick and just upgraded a few months ago as well! I take a ton of pictures with my phone (b/c I tend to take the easy way out…lol!) so I always need to correct my photos. Great idea!

I wish I could join you girls but the relocating coming up towards the end of the month, I don’t think I’d be able to catch up much. I’d be happily reading, though 🙂
