Do you have a lot of crafts you keep telling yourself you want to make.
I have several. Tired of watching everyone else in blogland make things
that you wish you would have made, but you still haven’t??
I thought it would be a good idea to start a craft club.
Kind of like a craft-er support group 🙂 where we plan to make a craft
and share what we accomplished online (if you blog).
We would be supportive and encouraging of each other through comments so
we’d getter done!! Maybe no one else feels this way and this was
just another reason for me to
practice making a blog button and expose a hefty “to do” list
to my blogging friends (who have probably already made
most of the things I’m thinking of :).In case you’re wondering….
Here is a possible line up, but not necessarily in this order:
Fall wreath
star-burst/sunburst mirror
A book page wreath
Chalkboard paint something…anything
Paint a fake pumpkin or two
Make a pine cone wreath
Hack a sweater
Make some wooden skewer pennants/flags
make a birthday banner/bunting
Hack some books
Mercury glass anything
Make a pouf 🙂
Hack a t-shirt
Make some felt flowers for a pillow or coat
Make some Christmas ornaments
What am I missing?
If you’re in let me know….or just follow along 🙂
I’ll provide the instruction. I might do a link up or
have you leave a link to your craft post in the comments area.
I’m thinking about crafting the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month….
or is once a week better?
PS.
Does anyone know how to make a blog button code grab box?
Susie Davis says
Grab code info here: http://www.blogguidebook.com/2010/10/how-to-add-button-code-and-code-box-to.html
(She’s a genius!)
And where’s the link for your picnik’s button tutorial (grabbing logo from your site)?
Have a fabulous Monday!!

Thank you so much Susie!! I love the blog guidebook!!

I could sure use some encouragement and motivation. I don’t know that I could provide any instruction, just moral support. I think it’s a great idea.

I think the craft-er support group would be great. I have a ton of started up projects that need completion so this would be great to help me “just finish it already” push.

Patricia, I’d love to be in a club together! Moral support is good, I can provide instruction.
I’ll keep you posted on the first project. We should probably do something fallish.
bargain hoot says
Lorena, I’m a starter and have a hard time finishing too…unless it’s for an event…then I’m forced. Forced has it’s pay offs, except for the stress part.
I’ll keep you posted on the first project. Like I mentioned to Pat, I’m thinking fall.

I’m in! I made a blog button for the first time because of you.

What a fun project! Love the list! Very inspiring!

I think this sounds like a great idea! I would love some motivation from some other crafty girls. Count me in!

This is a great idea! Things like this really work to motivate me. The 2wice a month model works best for me. Will you email us once you get it all figured out? Also, I would most appreciate a general theme as I’m not sure I want to be limited to a certain craft every time. Though I’m sure I’d love to try something new on occasion.

Hey Rene- I totally love the idea of a craft-er support group. I literally have a porch full of supplies hopelessly waiting to be created into something fabulous. My pinboard just keeps filling and I just keep failing to take the time to actually do one of them.
I have a tutorial for copy code here: http://fosteringacreativelife.com/2011/08/09/how-to-add-copyable-code-for-buttons-in-wordpress/
This post is for wordpress, but I also have the link to Blogger copy code too!

Love the idea of a “craft club”. i love crafting though i’m not great at it. Maybe I could even implement some of the ideas into my homeschooling!
