I thought it seemed like a good idea to add a pop of color
to our newly painted fireplace with some handmade pinwheels !!
So excited about the painted part, you don’t even know!!
It has taken Foorrrreeevvveeerrrr.
(Did you watch the movie SandLot?) Anyway, it has taken a
really long time.
I bought some shipping paper at Hobby Lobby and a few colored pieces
of paper on sale to make the pinwheels.
The large pieces of colored paper are to the left of the
framing area…against the wall at HL. I didn’t even know
that large selection of colored paper even existed in their store.
I thought that area only had mat boards.
I just cut the shipping paper and folded it back and forth.
You guys know how to make these…
I drew a little example in case you forgot 🙂
I made them the two different ways in the photo above.
The top two drawings go together and the bottom two.
I just fastened them together with staples.
The plan is to make more….. especially since I have
the paper. Are these actually called pinwheels?
Aren’t pinwheels the things on a stick that you blow and they spin?
Does anyone know what these are called? 🙂

“first you roast the mallow then you take the mallow and place it on the graham…”
thats’ how I’d describe your color scheme on the fire place in Sandlot quotes …
