Saturday was a wonderful wedding day.
A day spent with friends and family.
It was an exciting day….witnessing a beautiful couple say “I do”.
I so enjoyed all the festivities and especially loved talking to old friends and new.
After we got home from the wedding and settled in, I jumped on the computer and started looking around on
Pinterest. Isn’t that what all women do in their spare time these days??
There it was among all the beautiful pictures…a special jar with many names.
It’s a memory jar. A majical jar. A Praise the Lord Jar. It’s a thankful jar. A blessing jar.
It’s anything you want it to be.
It’s a jar that is used for storing little notes about good things that happen throughout the year.
One pinner suggested opening it on New Years… so you can read about all the good things that
made the year wonderful. I’ve seen lot of different takes on this concept.
Today, I decided to say”I do” to this idea.
I’m labeling it a thankful and answered prayer jar.
How many know that we don’t always have “good” memories and perfect days.
Some of us are going through difficult situations,
but that is the beauty of the jar. It builds our faith and hope for tomorrow.
Having a difficult time? Open your jar and start reading.
If I opened my jar and shared my last entry
…here’s what you’d find….
I’m so thankful for the really good wedding weather for Paul and Ashley!!
Even though there were storms all around us….. the skies
were blue over the outdoor ceremony!!. If you would have been there setting up the day before,
you would have understood why this was so huge.
It’s like a window from heaven was opened up for the Bride and Groom on their special day!!
Do you have a jar that you fill with special things that you’re thankful for?
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble,
whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely,
whatever things are of good report,
if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.
