Friday, was a fun crafting day.
A few friends came over and we made some diy pillows.
They were actually made out of felt.
I’m not sure where I would rate this pillow on a diy pillow crafting scale.
It’s the most challenging one I’ve done in awhile.
Definitely… worth the time.
The flower was made using a sewing machine.
You might be able to use a hot glue gun, but we opted for machines.
The fabric was felt with a partial wool blend.
Including talk time…. I’m thinking it took me about 4 hrs to complete.
Next time…. I’m thinking it will be a lot quicker.
The pillow cover was made to fit an 18 inch pillow form.
It was a basic envelope construction.
A few extra petals may need to be added if you see any blank
spaces or sewing stitches showing. Every flower will be a one of a kind.
trace and cut the petals
pin the petals together
Stitch down the first layer of petals…..
continue doing that for the first three layers.
