This chalkboard ornament is from zazzle.
One favorite trend that I so much enjoyed this past year… is the Chalkboard .
I noticed it in a lot of blogger homes this Christmas.
If you don’t have a chalkboard in your home…you may want to consider adding one.
The beauty of a chalkboard is its versatility. You can change its message so easily.
Plus, they are super easy to make. You can turn any old picture, wall,
object or mirror into a clean slate with a little primer and some chalkboard paint.
You can also use some black foam board
from Hobby Lobby to create an instant black board.
Here are some fun ways chalkboards were used this past year and at Christmas.
Miss mustard seed has a beautiful board with a pretty gold frame. I love the way she hung her wreath
and wrote around it with a scripture verse.
This wreath made from paper cups is highlighted by a chalkboard frame.
Dear Lillie did some beautiful chalkboard word art.
Folk Life style incorporated a blackboard into their mantle display.
Big K fam did this beautiful word art.
Pure style home painted her frig!
House Beautiful published this kitchen design… featuring a chalk surface on an island.
Nester painted her laundry room wall with chalk board paint.. Love those hand drawn trees 🙂

I know some people are tired of chalkboard but I think they are classics. I love how you can change up the verse or saying and then change it again – suits one who can’t make up her mind like me : )

Hi Teresa, I know what you mean about the writing. I saw a little tutorial on how to make nice lettering.
I’ll post that soon. Thanks for your comment!
